Living Fine

To live fine, you must first decide what "living fine" means to you.

In the same manner that "If you don't know where you're going, how will you know when you get there?", if you don't know what you want, how will you know when you get it?

You'll just know? Really? Does that lackadaisical attitude suffice? How has that worked for you thus far?

Once you know where you going, you can map out directions.

And once you know what you want, you can create action plans to meet your goals and achieve your desires.

First, figure out who you are. How do you want to be remembered? What do you want to be known for? What kind of person do you want to become? What kind of character traits do you want?

Second, figure out what you want. What do you enjoy? Eliminate goals that conflict with the person you want to be. (That's why you create that previous list first.)

Third, prioritize your goal list. Put the most important ones first.

Fourth, create action plans and time-lines to reach your goals.

Fifth, follow through on your action plans. Get to work!

Sixth, savor living fine. Enjoy obtaining your desires.

Seventh, help others achieve their goals too. This should be done throughout the process. You help others; and others help you. Maybe not the same others you help, but you give and receive help just the same. Even if you don't "need" someone else's help, you give and receive help. You receive rewards when you help others; and others receive rewards when they help you. Don't deprive them of their rewards. Accept help from others. Even the "Lone" Ranger had Tonto. And Silver. And whoever sold him his silver bullets.

Eighth, give thanks for every step along the way. Savor every moment. Enjoy the journey, not just the destination. Reward each success. Learn from misfires.
